FAQ's

  • Where is Revana Massage?

    • Location: 7406 27th Street West, Suite 15, University Place,  WA 98466

    • We're on the bottom floor of the West Plaza Building in University Place. We recommend you park in the back of the building. Suite 15. To the left of the restrooms behind the tree.

  • I'm here early, where do I wait?

    • There is a large common area in the bottom floor of the building, feel free to wait there. Your therapist may be finishing up a previous session before inviting you in. When the In Session Sign is up in the window, please refrain from knocking. We'll come and greet you as soon as we can.

  • Is massage painful?

    • It can be, but it doesn't need to be. It's up to you. We want to find the line between effective body work, without too much discomfort. If you're holding your breath during your massage, it's too much pressure. You won't be able to relax and neither will your muscles. It is common to be lightly to moderately sore after therapeutic focus work and deep tissue massage. Your therapist will check in with you about pressure preferences and focus areas during the massage. Please let us know your preferences at any point during your service.

  • Can I talk to my therapist during the massage?
    • Of course! Please let us know if you have any preferences when it comes to pressure, focus areas, and service goals. On the flip side, if you want to treat yourself to a quiet relaxing massage, we're here for it!
  • Do I have to undress?
    • It depends on what you need work on. Only dress down to your comfort level. All garments left on will be seen as a boundary that your therapist will avoid completely. We can provide compression holds to muscle groups over clothing if permitted, but no gliding massage techniques will be used over clothing. We encourage you to communicate areas you would like to avoid or focus on during your service.
